Ken Shields

I started working with clay in 1990 at Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Fl. I then went on to study at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. I currently reside inSarasota, Fl.

My artwork has been influenced by my early teachers, Ted Camp and Regis Brodie. However, I would not be where I am today without the tutelage of Regina Gurland. She took me under her wing about 21 years ago. She's helped me, fed me sardine sandwiches and told me to get to work many times.
