I used to make sandcastles, but decided I wanted to make something that would last longer than a day.  So I took a ceramic class at Manatee Community college in 1990. When I got on the potter’s wheel, that was all she wrote.   I’ve been throwing pots ever since.  I have slowly transformed my wheel thrown vessels into unique works of art.   I add textured pieces of clay and carve into the pot, sometimes adding things like driftwood, ammonite fossils , leather or nautilus shells.

On occasion, I still make sandcastles…..
